Loyola School Celebrates Graduation Nite for Std. 12 Students

Jamshedpur, February 2: Loyola School hosted a grand and memorable Graduation Nite for its outgoing batch of Std. 12 students, marking the culmination of their academic journey and the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. The event was filled with moments of reflection, gratitude, and inspiration as the management, teachers, students, and their parents gathered to celebrate this milestone.

The ceremony commenced with the Academic Procession, a moment of immense pride, as the graduating students and faculty walked with dignity and honor. This was followed by the traditional Lighting of the Lamp, accompanied by a soulful prayer song, symbolizing wisdom and enlightenment.

The Rector of the school, Fr. K.M. Joseph, delivered a warm welcome address, acknowledging the hard work and perseverance of the students and setting the tone for the evening. The School President then took the stage, delivering an inspiring speech that highlighted the achievements and unity of the graduating class.

A special video presentation showcased the journey of the students, capturing cherished memories of their school years. Parents and students alike were deeply moved as they reminisced about their experiences at Loyola School.

The most awaited moment of the evening was the distribution of certificates and special awards, recognizing outstanding academic performance, leadership, and extracurricular achievements. Students were honored for their dedication and excellence in various fields.

Adding a personal touch to the celebration, a parent representative shared heartfelt words of gratitude towards the school for its role in shaping the students’ future. Prayers by representatives of teachers and students invoked the blessings of the Almighty for the graduates as they embarked on a new phase of life.

Principal, Fr. Vinod Fernandes, delivered an inspiring message, emphasizing the Ignatian values of ‘Magis’ and being men and women for others. His words encouraged the students to uphold the spirit of service, integrity, and excellence as they moved forward in their journey.

A major highlight of the evening was the Passing the Light ceremony, where educators symbolically handed over the flame of knowledge to the students through a candle-lighting ritual. This solemn moment signified their transition into a world full of opportunities and challenges.

The ceremony concluded with the School Anthem, bringing a sense of unity and nostalgia among the attendees. The event was a heartfelt and dignified celebration, leaving an indelible mark on the students as they stepped into the future with confidence and determination.

Special Awards

Several students were recognized for their exceptional contributions and achievements through prestigious awards:

  1. AIWC Award for Social Service – Awarded to Sejuti Bose for excelling in community service and selfless contribution to society.
  2. Achievement Award – Given to Pragati Gupta for perseverance, courage, and the willpower to overcome challenges.
  3. Vineet Soni Memorial Congeniality Award – Presented to Srishty Murmu for being the most cheerful, helpful, and enthusiastic student of the outgoing ISC Commerce stream.
  4. Allencherry Award – Awarded to Sadiya Zareen for being a ‘Person for Others,’ always ready to help and inspire fellow students.
  5. Gyanprakash Trophy for Girls for All-Round Excellence in Plus Two – Conferred upon Varija Upadhyay for demonstrating outstanding academic performance, personality development, and achievement.
  6. T.A. Gabba Award for Man of Principles – Dedicated to the memory of T.A. Gabba, this award was presented to Ritik Kumar for upholding the ideals of honesty, integrity, and bravery.
  7. Bhattacharya Pursuit of Excellence Award – Bestowed upon Shaurya Vijay Sinha for maintaining good attendance, exemplary behavior, and steady academic performance.
  8. Loyola Award – The highest honor of the evening, awarded to Aryan Mishra for academic excellence, leadership, loyalty to the school, and selfless service, truly embodying the school’s motto, “In Charity and in Justice.”
