
Jamshedpur, June 29: Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS), Golmuri celebrated its annual academic prize night for the senior students (Std. 8-12) on Friday at the school premises.
Ruchi Narendran, Educationist and Management Trustee, JEM Foundation, Patron of the Horticultural Society, AIWC graced the occasion as Chief Guest. At the arrival she took a tour of the school and admired the School infrastructure. She commended the safety measures laid by the school for the security and well-being of the students.

Various Trophies and letters of appreciation were awarded by the Chief Guest to all-rounder students and to those scoring the highest marks in various subjects in the ICSE and ISC Examinations.
Gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded to the top 3 achievers of the Std. X, XII Board Examinations 2019. ISC toppers were Tripurana Lipika scoring 97.5 % followed by Lovely Luthra and Aryan Jaiswal 97 % while Aakanchha Sawa scored 96.25 %.

ICSE toppers were Sounak Banerjee scoring 99 %, Aatir Zaki scored 98.2 % and Shiba Prasad Tewary scored 97 %.
The students scoring the first, second and third highest aggregates in the ICSE Examinations were given free studentship for their stay in the school for the next two academic years. This year Sounak Banerjee, Aatir Zaki, Chandrakant Murmu and Muskan Goyal are the recipients of the scholarship.
Aryan Jaiswal Std. 12 and Jayshree Nandi Std. 11 were declared versatile all-rounder students and awarded for their multi-talent in co-curricular activities, exemplary behaviour, leadership and proficiency in academics.
Ketan Kauntia was awarded for his commendable performance in the International Technical Championship organized at IIT, Delhi. He stood first in the Zonal and contributed significantly to the team that won the first runner up position in the International level.
Asfia Shiraz was honoured for securing 3rd position in the First ASISC National Chess Tournament and her multiple achievements in Chess throughout her academic tenure.
Sivam Kumar Raj was first, Ayush Giri was second while Abhmanuyu Kumar, Akhil Sawa and Tanishk Raj were jointly awarded third prize in Open ISMA National Karate Championship.
Ishika Singh of Std X was declared as the Most Persevering Student of the year 2018-19 for her academic excellence and exemplary behaviour. Divisha Mehandiratta of Std XI will be known as the �Hemprabha Shukla Scholar�.
Toppers of Std. 8, 9 and Std. 10 were recognized on stage. Top 3 achievers of NIOS stream also received accolades. These students have joined the ISC +2 stream. There was a short entertainment programme put up by the students.
