Jamshedpur/Los Angeles, Aug 13: Jharkhand Police�s celebrated boxer Aruna Mishra clinched gold at the World Police Games in Los Angeles in the 71 kg category.
She defeated Yanique Fortin of Canada in the finals. In the semifinals, Mishra had vanquished a Mongolian boxer. This is the fourth time when the Jamshedpur based boxer has tasted success and won a gold medal at the World Police Games.
Earlier, Mishra won gold in Norway in 2005, in New York in 2011 and in Virginia in 2015. Having started her International boxing career in 2002, she has won many gold medals in the Asian Championship and National Boxing Championship.
