Ranchi: An arrest warrant has been issued against Anil Kumar Singh, the Under Secretary of the Agriculture Department and former Circle Officer (CO) of Hehal. The warrant is in connection with a case involving the fraudulent registration of tribal land in Pandara. The arrest warrant was issued following the arrest of Chandra Bhushan Singh and several others, who are accused of illegally registering approximately four and a half acres of tribal land with the assistance of Anil Kumar Singh.
The case, registered as number 260/17, accuses Bhushan Prasad Singh and others of conspiring with Anil Kumar Singh to fraudulently register tribal land originally owned by Sanjay Sahu. Chief Minister Hemant Soren granted permission to file an FIR against Anil Kumar Singh in this matter. Additionally, the Chief Minister approved the proposal for Anil Kumar Singh’s suspension on January 29, 2021, after various allegations, including those related to disproportionate assets, were made against him.
This decision comes in response to the charge sheet prepared by the Revenue Registration and Land Reforms Department, along with the unsatisfactory nature of Anil Kumar Singh’s explanation, as noted by Ranchi Deputy Commissioner (DC). The DC recommended the suspension based on complaints received against the Circle Officer.
