Jamshedpur, June 27: City-based social organisation Arpan collected a record 905 units of blood during a camp organised at Jamshedpur Blood Bank. The figure is highest in the city during lockdown. The organisation also distributed 2100 saplings to spread the message of environmental protection.
Health Minister Banna Gupta was present at the camp and motivated the donors. Chief patron of Arpan Amarpreet Singh Kale was also present on the occasion.
On the occasion, Gupta motivated the young donors and said that the participation of hundreds of young blood donors is enough to ensure that these youths can fight against the challenges of society. They are true examples for the future generation who want to serve society. He appreciated Arpan for organising such a camp.
Patron Kale expressed gratitude and said that it is a proud moment for every member of the organisation. He said that the camp collected 905 units of blood. He informed that from the year 2016 to 2021, the organisation has collected about 5000 units of blood and Arpan has always been serious about blood donation and has been trying to create awareness among the youth in the society towards blood donation.
