Jamshedpur, June 2: Arka Jain University has commenced the orientation program for the B.Tech program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, specially designed for Tata Motors employees. This initiative stems from the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the university and Tata Motors on April 27. Under the terms of the MoU, Tata Motors employees will pursue their B.Tech degree at Arka Jain University.
This collaboration presents a valuable opportunity for Tata Motors employees to pursue lateral admission in Electrical Engineering. As part of the agreement, an offline entrance exam was conducted, with 135 students applying and 114 participating. Following the evaluation process, 40 students were selected to pursue their B.Tech studies.
The orientation session witnessed the presence of esteemed individuals, including Ravindra Kulkarni (Plant Head, Tata Motors), Mohan Ganta (HR Head), Marshall Fernandes (Head of Corporate Skill Development), Prof. SS Razi (Vice Chancellor of Arka Jain University), Amit Kumar Srivastava (Director), Dr. Angad Tiwari (Campus Director), Dr. Ashwani Kumar (Assistant Dean Engineering), Sudhanshu Padhi, Prashant Mehta, and others.
Addressing the gathering, Ravindra Kulkarni, Plant Head of Tata Motors, emphasized the growing significance of the electric sector. He urged the selected employees to leverage their time at Arka Jain University to gain insights into electrical engineering, general electric safety, technical knowledge, and practical experience from the university’s esteemed faculty. This knowledge will prove invaluable in the evolving era of electric vehicles. Mohan Ganta, HR Head, expressed optimism that embracing their studies with enthusiasm will yield fruitful results. Dr. Razi, the Vice Chancellor of Arka Jain University, assured Tata Motors employees of the university’s commitment to supporting their successful completion of the B.Tech program. The faculty will provide regular guidance and support throughout their academic journey. Amit Srivastava, Director of the university, congratulated the participants and expressed pride in the trust Tata Motors has placed in the institution. He reaffirmed the university’s dedication to fostering the best possible academic environment. Marshal Fernandes described this collaboration as a new beginning, expressing confidence that the program will enhance the skill set and expertise of Tata Motors’ workforce.
