Jamshedpur, June 2: The scorching sun and high humidity made life difficult for residents of Jamshedpur on Friday. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the heat will intensify further, with temperatures expected to reach a sweltering 47 degrees Celsius. On Friday, Jamshedpur experienced a maximum temperature of 42.0 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature stood at 27.2 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature was 1.9 degrees above the normal average.
According to the weather forecast, the temperature will continue to rise in the coming days, accompanied by clear and dry weather conditions. No weather warnings have been issued at present. However, starting from June 7, there is a possibility of light rain in some areas. As the mercury soars, people are advised to take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the scorching heat. Staying hydrated, avoiding direct exposure to the sun during peak hours, and wearing light and loose-fitting clothing are some of the recommended measures to beat the heatwave.
