Arjun Munda to lay foundation stone for Tribal Heritage Center in Jharkhand’s Kharsawan today

Seraikela, Mar 15: A significant step towards the preservation and promotion of tribal culture and heritage will be taken with the establishment of a dedicated center in Jojodih Panchayat, near Padampur village, Kharsawan. Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Arjun Munda, will lay the foundation stone for this center, marking a crucial milestone in safeguarding the rich cultural heritage of the tribal communities.

Scheduled for March 16, the foundation stone laying ceremony will be conducted online from New Delhi at 10 am. The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, has granted approval for this initiative, allocating an initial budget of Rs 10 crore for the project’s first phase. Future plans for the center will also be deliberated upon subsequently.

Spanning an area of approximately two and a half acres, the center aims to serve as a hub for the preservation and promotion of tribal culture and heritage. It will feature comprehensive facilities and resources dedicated to showcasing the diverse traditions, art forms, and customs of tribal communities.
