Jamshedpur, Dec. 19: The 17th Tata Open was inaugurated at the Beldih Golf Course in Jamshedpur on Wednesday with the customary cake-cutting ceremony attended by Arjun Munda, former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Sanjiv Paul, Vice President, Tata Steel and Captain, Jamshedpur Golf, Uttam Singh Mundy, CEO, PGTI and Manisha Kumar, Lady Captain, Jamshedpur Golf.
The group including Sanjiv Paul, Amitabh Bakshi, Arjun Munda and Vijay Singh teed off from the first tee during the inaugural event.
The Pro-Am event was cancelled due to wet outfield at the Golmuri Golf Course which needed rest before the main draw begins on December 20.
Around 25 Steel City golfers were involved in a match at the Beldih Golf Course on Wednesday morning.
Amateurs including Shubhankar Bhowmick, Dr. K P Dubey, Dr. Sunil Kumar and R Pawan Kumar were declared the winners of event.

The runner-up team comprised of amateurs Dr. S Bajoria, Gaurav Sharan, Mrs. Vibhuti Adesara (prize collected by Nikhil Adesara) and S A Halim.
