Jamshedpur, Jan 7: Former Union minister Arjun Munda on Wednesday said that Srikrishna Sinha, popularly known as Sri Babu, holds an illustrious place not only in Bihar’s history but in the political landscape of India as a whole.

He remarked that the robust foundation of infrastructure and the extensive network of public sector undertakings taking shape in Bihar today are a direct outcome of Sri Babu’s far-sighted vision.

Munda noted that the Asia-renowned industrial belt in Jharkhand—earlier known as AIADA and now functioning as JIADA—was also established under Srikrishna Sinha’s leadership.

“It would not be an exaggeration to describe Sri Babu as the architect of industrial development in undivided Bihar,” he opined.

While en route to Begusarai, Munda halted at Barbigha, where he paid floral tributes at the life-size statue of Srikrishna Sinha, honouring his contribution to nation-building.

He was travelling to attend the shraddha ceremony of late Ram Kripal Babu, founder of Jharkhand-based construction firm Shri Ram Kripal Construction.

Ram Kripal Singh had passed away recently while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Patna.

Several BJP workers from Jharkhand and Bihar were present on the occasion.

Dhanbad BJP in-charge Shailendra Singh also accompanied Munda.
