Jamshedpur: The 27th edition of the two-day All India Bhojpuri Sahitya Sammelan commenced with an inaugural ceremony held at Tulsi Bhawan in Jamshedpur on Saturday. The event was graced by the presence of Union Minister Arjun Munda, who served as the chief guest and emphasized the cultural significance of the Bhojpuri language.
During the inauguration, Minister Arjun Munda underscored the richness of the Bhojpuri language and its profound cultural heritage. He expressed the belief that India’s strength lies in the diverse literary traditions of its languages, making a profound impact on the global stage.
As part of the event, several books were unveiled, contributing to the literary landscape of Bhojpuri literature. The cultural evening commenced with an enchanting performance of Ganesh Vandana by Smrika Mishra’s team. The Rangashri team from Delhi presented the thought-provoking drama “Mindset,” written by Mahendra Pratap Singh.
Adding a musical touch to the ceremony, renowned local singer Virendra Upadhyay illuminated the gathering with his soulful songs during the ceremonial lamp lighting. Additionally, a meeting of the Select Committee and the Standing Committee was convened, fostering discussions and exchanges among literary enthusiasts.
