Anti-Naxal operation in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum, three IEDs recovered 

Jamshedpur : In a collaborative effort, Chaibasa Police, CRPF 209, 203, and 205, Jharkhand Jaguar, and CRPF 60, 197, 157 , 174, 193, 134 joined forces in a continuous campaign against top leaders of the banned CPI Naxalite organization. The identified leaders, including Misir Besra, Anmel, Maechhu, Chaman, Kande, Ajay Mahta, Sagden Angriya, and Ashwin, were found active in subversive activities.
A joint campaign team of 26 units was formed to target the leaders and their squad members. Commencing from 10.10.2023, the operation covers villages under Goilkera police station, including Kuida, Chhota Kuida, Maradiri, Meralgada, Hathiburu, Tilayabeda, Boypaissang, Katamba, Bayhatu, Bora Ey, and border areas of Lemsadih and villages under Tanta police station such as Husipi, Rajabasa, Tumbahaka, Regada, Patatorab, Ga Gaburu, Luiya.
During today’s campaign in the forest/hilly areas around village Tumbahaka and Aair Rengdahatu under Trenta area, the joint team recovered three Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) weighing 5kgs planted by Naxalites. The bomb disposal squad promptly handled the situation, ensuring the safety of the security forces and the surrounding areas.
Anti-Naxal operations remain ongoing, with a focus on dismantling the Naxalite organization’s activities and ensuring the security of the affected regions. Recovery: Three IEDs worth 5kgs.
