Jamshedpur: The Andhra Association, Kadma, marked the beginning of its centenary year (1926–2026) with a grand cultural evening on April 27, 2025, at the Michael John Auditorium in Bistupur. The event saw a large gathering of members, dignitaries and lifetime members in attendance.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, D.B. Shailaja Sundararaman, trustees and the Association’s president. The event was also attended by the general secretary, vice presidents, joint secretaries, treasurer, assistant treasurer and other executive members, along with distinguished guests from various Telugu organizations.
The evening began with a Ganesh Vandana, followed by speeches from the president and the chief guest. The general secretary introduced the artists and the cultural program kicked off with a mesmerizing musical performance by the renowned artist group led by Shankar Narayan Swamy from Kolkata, captivating the audience with their presentation.
The event was elegantly hosted by Y. Rama. A two-minute silence was observed to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the Pahalgam terrorist attack. The Association expressed heartfelt gratitude to all members, guests and media representatives for their participation in making the centenary celebration a grand success
