Anadi Brahma elected Students’ Council President at NIT Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Aug 27: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur has announced its Students’ Council for the academic year 2025-26, with Anadi Brahma elected as the President.

The new council brings together representatives across key domains. Haritima Sinha has been chosen as General Secretary, while Harshit Raj will serve as Sports Secretary, Mayank Raj as Cultural Secretary, Anurag Das as Technical Secretary, and Priya Kumari as Club Secretary. Saloni Tiwari has been named PG Representative and Abhishek Bhoutkar will coordinate the Sports Team.

Two Vice Presidents—Shubham Kumar Singh and Srinivas Prasad—have also been elected. Other positions include Mrinal Ayush Raj and Sunita Diggi as Joint Sports Secretaries, Maharshi N. Dev and Shreya Sharma as Joint Cultural Secretaries, and Kushal Srivastava with Navya Mishra as Joint Technical Secretaries. Ishika Gupta will serve as Alumni Secretary, while Varun Singh and Rini Bhowmik will be Joint Secretaries. Pushkar Barnwal and Shanu Priya have been named Joint Alumni Secretaries.

“The council’s primary focus will be to strengthen the student voice and represent their interests effectively,” said President Anadi Brahma, adding that the body will also organize academic and extracurricular activities while working closely with the administration.
