Jamshedpur, May 24: South Eastern Railway General Manager Anil Kumar Mishra has directed that the redevelopment work at Amrit Bharat stations, Rairangpur and Badampahar, be completed within six months. During his inspection on Friday, he warned that failure to meet the deadline will result in action against the responsible officers and construction agencies.

The stations are currently undergoing upgrades including new buildings, waiting halls, ticket counters, toilets, reservation centers and other passenger amenities. GM Mishra also noted the doubling of tracks on the Tatanagar–Badampahar line is in progress.

Additionally, the Badampahar–Keonjhar rail line has received approval under the East Coast Railway zone. Officials from both zones will coordinate to expedite the new line’s construction.

During his visit, a trial run of a train at 90 km/h was conducted successfully between Badampahar and Tatanagar. This marks a significant improvement from the previous speed of 30 km/h, following track upgrades and electrification.
