Jamshedpur: To tackle the heavy summer rush, Indian Railways has introduced a new ‘Summer Special’ train passing through Tatanagar. This service, running between Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Itwari (Nagpur) and Shalimar (Kolkata), will significantly ease travel for passengers in the Kolhan region. South East Central Railway will operate this special service from April 2 to June 25, 2026, completing 13 trips in each direction.
Tatanagar Arrival and Departure Schedule
The train provides convenient morning and night connectivity for Tatanagar passengers:

Train No. 08865 (Itwari-Shalimar Special): Departs Itwari every Thursday at 5:10 PM and arrives at Tatanagar on Friday at 9:00 AM. After a 10-minute halt, it proceeds to Shalimar.

Train No. 08866 (Shalimar-Itwari Special): Departs Shalimar every Friday at 6:00 PM and reaches Tatanagar at 9:55 PM. Following a 5-minute halt, it departs for Itwari at 10:00 PM.
Coach Composition and Key Stoppages
The special train features a total of 21 coaches, including Sleeper, Third AC, Second AC, and General categories. To assist long-distance travelers, the railway has also attached a pantry car.
The train will stop at several major stations, including:
