Jamshedpur: In response to the crisis surrounding the court’s order to demolish the godowns of Lal Baba Foundry, located in Burma Mines, members of the Kailash Nagar Business Committee, workers, and local residents staged a dharna on Friday. The demolition order has raised concerns about the livelihoods of the businessmen and workers associated with the foundry.
Former BJP state spokesperson and senior social worker, Amarpreet Singh Kale, visited the protest site to show solidarity with the affected parties. He interacted with the businessmen and workers, assuring them of his support and promising to work towards a resolution.
Kale took up the matter with the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum and officials of Tata Steel, advocating for the businessmen’s right to appeal the court’s decision. He emphasized the need for adequate time to file legal appeals, stating, “Thousands of livelihoods are at stake. The businessmen must be given a fair chance to pursue the legal process and seek justice.”
Highlighting the gravity of the situation, Kale stressed that the future of the affected workers and their families was in jeopardy. He urged the administration and Tata management to consider a “positive and permanent solution” to the issue, safeguarding the interests of all parties involved.
Kale also called for calm among the protesting businessmen and workers, urging them to trust the judicial process and administration. He emphasized the importance of maintaining peace to facilitate a swift resolution to the problem.
