Jamshedpur: A major case of alleged job fraud in the Railways has come to light, claimed Central President of the Central Mukhi Samaj Moolnivasi and two-time Jugsalai Assembly candidate, Hari Mukhi. In a press statement issued on November 4, 2025, Mukhi alleged that individuals from other castes are fraudulently securing railway jobs under the Dalit quota by changing their names and submitting forged caste certificates.
He cited a specific case involving a resident of Carriage Colony, Jamshedpur, whose real name is Punnu Mandal, son of Dinesh Mandal alias Dinesh Karwa. “He has changed his name to Rohit Karwa and obtained a job in the Railways under the Scheduled Caste quota, despite belonging to the backward Mandal caste,” Mukhi said, terming the act “a clear case of manipulation and fraud.”
Mukhi further stated that the community had asked Punnu Mandal alias Rohit Karwa to produce his caste and local certificates about ten days ago, but he failed to do so. “This proves that he obtained the job through fraudulent means,” he alleged. The Mukhi Samaj plans to soon meet the DRM of Chakradharpur Division to submit a formal complaint and demand dismissal of such individuals from service.
