‘Government to take care of all policemen’s need’

Ranchi, January 20: Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren announced that all police barracks in the state will be renovated and need of security personnel will be taken care by the government.

Addressing a function to mark the renovated Jharkhand Armed Police (JAP)-1 campus Ranchi, Hemant Soren said, that the campus will be known as an iconic campus for the police force in the new look.

“The JAP-1 complex is a well-known place located in heart of the capital Ranchi. During last year’s JAP 1 foundation day I had announced that the campus will be renovated and this has been realized today and taken shape as a modern police camp,” said Soren.

The campus boast of a newly constructed auditorium, gallery, food court and other buildings.

Hemant Soren said that the state government will work to renovate all the police camp and complexes in the state, even if they are located in remote rural areas.

“Modern facilities will be made available in all police camp premises. These campuses will be connected with other necessary arrangements including facilities of water, toilets, retiring rooms so that our police force personnel do not face any kind of trouble while on duty. Our government feels that police force should also be provided with a better environment mentally while discharging their duties,” said Soren.

“Our government is continuously making efforts to fulfill every need of the police personnel of the state. At present state government has done the work of giving pending demand compensation leave to the policemen. In the coming days, our government will further strengthen other facilities including facilities for police personnel to go to work area, food and drink, uniform,” said Soren.

He also said that government will prepare an action plan so that the police force personnel get better health facilities and their children get quality education. A gym will be arranged for the police force personnel to exercise, exercise etc.

Chairman-cum-Managing Director Jharkhand Police Housing Corporation Ltd. -cum-Director General, Anti-Corruption Bureau Ajay Kumar Singh in his welcome address elaborated on the purpose of the program.
