Jamshedpur: All gates of UCIL barrage in Jadugora are in sound condition. There is no leakage from any of the gates and the villagers need not worry for safety. This was declared on Friday by the deputy general manager of UCIL Ravindra Kumar.
Kumar said the opening of the UCIL dam gate is a normal safety procedure. He appealed to the people not to pay heed on rumours. He said UCIL was committed to the safety of people residing in its area of operation. He said the UCIL dam gates were strong and in full working condition.
