All accused Jamshedpur ISL ticket blackmarketeers given bail

Jamshedpur, Dec 12: All the 15 accused blackmarketeers of ISL tickets and complementary passes who were arrested in the course of the ISL -6 match between Jamshedpur FC and Chennaiyin FC at the JRD Sports Complex on Monday, December 9 evening, were released on bail today due to anomalies in the seizure list and lack of sufficient evidence of blackmarketing of tickets and complementary passes. The police had filed cases against the accused under Sec (s) 406 and 420.

On receipt of information about the blackmarketing of tickets, the Bistupur police led by OC Rajesh Prakash Sinha went to the JRD tickets sales counter in civil dress. They nabbed some persons selling tickets and complementary passes and took them away to the police station for questioning. After interrogation the Bistupur police arrested 15 people in connection with the illegal sales. The first to be arrested was Pratik Agrawal a Sonari resident living near the Carmel School. The police recovered 12 complementary passes from his possession. When the police interrogated Pratrik did the information come out that a hotel manager supplied him the passes. The police had the other 13 people brought in for questioning identified by Pratik. All the persons were then arrested. The manager in question is Danish Anwar of Hotel Centre Point and a resident of Kantatoli in Ranchi.

The others arrested as accused for blackmarketing of ISL Season VI tickets and complementary passes are Pratik Agrawal (Sonari), Bhola Kumar (Sakchi), Vicky Sona (Bistupur), Balram Kumar (Sitaramdera), Ayush Agrawal (Sonari), Asit Gaud (Kadma), Gaurango Patro (Kadma), Saddam (Mango Azadnagar), Tanvir Alam (Zakirnagar), Sadiq Ansari (Mango Azadnagar), Ayaz (Azad Basti), Mahtab Alam (Kadma), Gyan Chandra and Sanju Sahu (Olidih).
