Jamshedpur, Oct 9: The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association of Jharkhand Unaided Private Education Institutions (AJUPEI) was held with dignity and active participation at Dayanand Public School, bringing together representatives from member institutions, education leaders and respected dignitaries committed to collaborative governance and educational advancement. The event began with a warm welcome by Principal Swarna Mishra, who invited dignitaries to participate in the ceremonial lamp lighting, symbolizing enlightenment, unity and auspicious beginnings.
Gian Taneja, Chairman of Dayanand Public School Shiksha Samiti, officially called the meeting to order, acknowledging the collective efforts of all member schools and the importance of annual deliberations for shared governance. A minute of silence was observed in memory of Lalita Sareen and Meena Bugli, distinguished members who passed away during the year, honouring their service and dedication to the educational community.
B. Chandrasekhar delivered an inspiring address highlighting the evolving educational landscape and the importance of visionary leadership within school associations. The formal proceedings included the presentation of the previous year’s AGM minutes by Honorary Secretary Dr. Shrikant Nair, which were approved by the members, followed by the Annual Report detailing achievements, collaborative initiatives, workshops and member activities. The audited financial accounts presented by the Honorary Treasurer, R.K. Jhunjhunwala, were also approved, reflecting the Association’s financial transparency.
The AGM concluded with a keynote address by Chairman Nakul D. Kamani, outlining his vision for the year ahead and praising the contributions of B. Chandrasekhar and Baily Bodhanwala, who were honoured with a commemorative plaque. The new AJUPEI Core Committee was announced, including Kamani as Chairman, Gian Taneja and Sharat Chandra Nair as Vice Presidents, Dr. Shrikant Nair as Secretary, R.K. Jhunjhunwala as Treasurer and Shashikant Zatakia handling legal matters, along with other advisors and members. The AGM concluded on a positive note, with participants reaffirming their commitment to mutual collaboration, respect and the advancement of education in Jharkhand.
