Ranchi: The All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU), in a letter to the Governor, expressed concern over irregularities in Ranchi University’s PhD Entrance Examination 2023 and UG Semester 4 exam results.
AJSU President Abhishek Shukla expressed grievances over the PhD entrance exam, citing issues such as mismanagement in admit cards, absence of candidates’ photographs, and unavailability of answer sheet copies for objection. Despite assurances from the Vice Chancellor, no revised results or responses to student objections had been forthcoming. A committee was formed to investigate, yet no decision had been made even after two months thereby raising suspicions of exam rigging.
Shukla submitted a demand letter to the Governor, urging a high-level investigation and cancellation of the 2023 PhD entrance exam. He voiced concern over the recent UG Semester 4 results, where 70-75% of students had failed. He contended that amid blame games between university and college administrations, students suffered. Shukla implored the Governor to intervene, emphasizing potential protests if swift action was not taken.
AJSU members present at the Raj Bhawan Secretariat during the submission of the memorandum were Rohit Chaudhary, Bipin Yadav, Vikram Yadav, Manjeet, Priyanshu Sharma, Prateek Kumar, Akash Nayan, Birbal Kumar, and others.
