Jamshedpur, June 2: The Adityapur Industrial Area Development Authority (AIADA) has cleared 31 projects with an investment proposals to the tune of Rs 184 crores at the project clearance committee (PCC) meeting held on its premises at Adityapur .
From steel processing , automobile , food processing to plastics industries, the projects range from several areas. The biggest investment proposal of Rs 84 crore was made by Delhi-based Yamuna Auto Ltd which proposes to set-up an automobile spare-parts unit. Yamuna Auto at present has an automobile factory at Chandil in the same district.
The PCC meeting was presided over by AIADA managing director Ramesh Gholap, who scanned several projects and gave green signal as per their merit.
The projects which were passed in today’s meeting will come up in phase VII close to the Adityapur Auto Cluster office near Adityapur toll bridge and will be spread over an area of 40 acres.
Sources went on to inform that eight of the promoters did not turn up at the meeting while two other projects were withheld for some technical reasons. The decision on these 10 projects will be put up in the next PCC meeting scheduled in the second week of this month.
AIADA secretary Hari Kumar Keshri, regional officer of Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board Suresh Paswan, AIADA consultant Ashok Bihany, representatives of Adityapur Small Industries Association (ASIA) and representatives of Canara and Central Bank were present on the occasion.
Gholap, who is also Seraikela-Kharsawan deputy commissioner confirmed that 31 projects were cleared in today’s PCC meeting.” It is a major boost to the industrial growth. We have cleared 31 projects of 101 to be set up on 23 plots spread over an area measuring 50 acres of land in Adityapur,” said Gholap.
It may be noted that the sprawling Adityapur Industrial Area houses over 1200 units- including 11 large-scale, 64 small scale and 166 tiny industries.
A few important industries that has global presence are Usha Martin Group, RSB Group, Tata Steel Growth Shop(TGS) etc., too situated in this industrial belt, situated in Seraikela-Kharsawan.
There are 20 industries, which export its products to the USA, Australia and other European countries.
