Agnes Boyle takes over as president of Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, July 13: Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur celebrated the installation of its 30th working committee on Saturday, marking a significant milestone in the club’s journey. This year, referred to as the ‘Pearl Year’, commemorates nearly three decades since the club’s establishment.

A special ceremony was held to mark the occasion, with Smita Pankaj (Indian Forest Service), Assistant Commissioner Alokananda Bakshi, former president Archana Shekhar, immediate past president Sarika Singh, and newly elected president Agnes Boyle lighting the ceremonial lamp.

During the event, outgoing president Sarika Singh formally handed over the leadership for the 2025–26 term to Agnes Boyle by adorning her with the presidential collar. The newly formed team includes Dr. Neha Gupta as Secretary, Babita Sharma as Vice President, Jyoti Bhagat as Treasurer, Vidya Tiwari as ISO, Rashmi Singh as Editor, and committee members Archana Singh, Chanchala Singh, Veena Jaiswal, Indu Bhamari, Anju Tripathi, Kanaklata Singhal, and Anita Solanki.

In her inaugural speech, President Agnes Boyle expressed her commitment to continuing the club’s legacy of impactful social work. “Just as the Inner Wheel Club has always participated enthusiastically in social initiatives, I will strive to take these efforts to greater heights during my tenure,” she said.

Chief guest Smita Pankaj praised the club’s community service efforts and assured her continued support for future initiatives. The event also featured a welcome dance performance by young girls, adding a festive touch to the celebration.
