Agitation for road construction in Bagbera from today

Jamshedpur: The panchayat representatives of Bagbera will be organizing a sit-in at Lal Building Chowk, Bagbera, on 20th September to demand resumption of road construction work from Tatanagar Railway Station Chowk to Baroda Ghat. As per plan, the Mukhiya and panchayat committee members of each panchayat of Bagbera would sit on dharna every day to protest the shutdown of construction work. Earlier, the panchayat representatives of Bagbera had met the executive engineer of Road Construction Department Sanjay Singh on 16th September last and handed him a memorandum demanding resumption of road construction work. Sources said the contractor entrusted with the construction work had shut down work after Potka MLA Menka Sardar sought a probe into the construction work. Local residents are having a tough time since incomplete road project has adversely affected daily traffic movement in the area.
