Agitating Sakchi shop owner hospitalized

Jamshedpur: An aged man, one among the many roadside shop owners and vendors of Sakchi Mangla Haat (weekly market) agitating before the DC office demanding permission for occupying market space, fell sick on Saturday. He was hospitalized after he fell unconscious during the agitation programme.

The shop owners immediately rushed the sick agitator to the MGM Hospital in a rickshaw. Doctors said they will be monitoring the condition of the patient as he suffered from symptoms of exhaustion.

The agitators alleged that the district administration was not paying attention to the condition of show owners and vendors who were demanding rehabilitation in the market.

They said the administration had removed them from the market in the name of removing encroachment and was now not taking any steps to look after them.
