Three hardcore PLFI members arrested with arms

Seraikela: Seraikela-Kharsawan police here arrested three hardcore members of the banned ultra-Leftist outfit People�s Liberation Front of India (PLFI) with illegal arms on Saturday.

Cops said the arrested persons, identified as Rudas Jonko, Tipu Jonko and Rai Singh Jonko, were nabbed by a joint team of district police and Central Reserve Police Force. The three were allegedly escaping on a motorcycle after seeing the police patrol team ahead on the main road in Kharsawan.

The superintendent of police (SP), Seraikela-Kharsawan, Indrajeet Mahatha said police arrested the PLFI members during routine patrolling. The three were riding a motorcycle.

Cops confiscated two pistols, a carbine with magazines, 21 cartridges and another lot of carbine magazine from the possession of the PLFI members.

The motorcycle used by the rebels for movement in the area was also seized by police.

The SP said the Naxalites should come forward and surrender before the police as the state government had made lucrative surrender policy for them.

The purpose of the surrender policy was to bring back Naxalites to the mainstream of society.

The Chief Minister of Jharkhand and the DGP along with the entire state government machinery have appealed to Naxalites to give up violence and join the society for a peaceful life, he said.
