Man arrested in Telco murder case, bike seized

Jamshedpur: City police here claimed to have solved the mystery behind the murder of one Sanjeev Singh of Telco by arresting a man allegedly having hand in the killing.

Police said the arrested accused, identified as Mohan Kachhap, was nabbed with a motorcycle and a mobile phone in his possession.

Senior superintendent of police (SSP), East Singhbhum, Anup T Mathew said the accused had confessed his involvement in the pre-planned murder of Sanjeev Singh on his way from Parsudih to Telco on 12th May last.

He said Kachhap had a criminal past with his name having surfaced earlier in eight FIRs lodged in different police stations of Kolhan.

Earlier, cops had arrested one Mithun Chakraborty in connection with the murder. Chakravarty S name was however not mentioned in the FIR. Another person, Mangal Tudu, was arrested by police in this case several days back.

The SSP said a police team led by DSP city Animesh Naithani had conducted raid to arrest Kachhap. He said cops had identified few more persons in connection with the killing.

Domni Samson and Chitru Sardar are the other accused persons in this case, he said.
