Jamshedpur, May 17: In connection with the violence that occurred in Shastri Nagar under Kadma police station, the Jamshedpur court granted bail to eight individuals, including advocate Chandan Choubey, who had been previously sent to jail. The case was heard in the court of Additional District Judge 2, Abhash Verma. However, the bail plea of one individual was rejected by the court. The court granted bail to advocates Chandan Choubey, Chandan Kumar Das, Bhola Lohar, Shankar Rao, Kanhaiya Pandey, Bhim Yadav, Anirudh Giri, and Rajesh Choubey. Jitesh Kumar’s bail plea, however, was rejected.
It should be noted that in the Kadma violence case, these eight individuals, including advocate Chandan Choubey were arrested by the police and subsequently sent to jail after they had gone to hand over a memorandum to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP). They were accused of inciting violence during the incident. On Wednesday, the court also heard the bail plea of BJP leaders Abhay Singh, Sudhanshu Ojha, Ranjit Pandit, Janardan Pandey, and others. During the previous court hearing, the court had requested the injury report of the individuals who were harmed in the incident, which was subsequently submitted. On Wednesday, a debate took place between the advocate representing the accused and the public prosecutor, with both sides presenting their arguments. Following the debate, the court has decided to announce its verdict on the bail plea of these accused individuals on May 22.
