Administration reviews toilet construction in panchayats

Seraikela : Seraikela-Kharsawan district administration officials today held a meeting to review the work of toilet construction in various panchayats.

The deputy collector Sandeep Kumar Dalai Buru presided over the meeting and sought report from the executive engineer of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department on the construction of toilets so far.

He said the work of toilet construction should be sped up so that all households in a given panchayat get toilets without delay. He also asked the SDO of Seraikela Deepak Kumar to furnish the list of panchayats where toilet construction work had been completed.

Dalaiburu said the role of Jal Sahiya and Mukhiyas was important in making the district free from open defecation. He said that any slackness on part of government officials will be directly reported to the state government.

He said the Chief Secretary had asked the districts to ensure speedy work on toilet construction in all panchayats across Jharkhand.
