Administration, media and Tata Steel teams to play friendly cricket tournament

Jamshedpur, Nov. 11: Among various events scheduled for Jharkhand foundation day celebration, a friendly cricket tournament will also be organised at JRD Tata Sports Complex ground on November 14, eve of foundation day.

The friendly match will be played among administration, media and Tata Steel. On the directives of DC Amit Kumar, district public relation officer Sanjay Kumar on Friday held a meeting at his office with the members of Press Club and concerned officers of JRD Complex.

Former Bihar Ranji captain Avinash Kumar has been given the responsibility of making the rules of the match.

According to the plan, Jamshedpur Press Club has been given the responsibility of selecting the Media XI team while Administration XI will have district administration officers along with the police officers. At the Tata Steel XI team officers of Jusco will also be present.

The friendly cricket tournament will be if 15 over a side. The meeting was attended by DPRO Sanjay Kumar, Jamshedpur Press Club President B. Sriniwas, general secretary Gulab Singh, Event manager of Tata Steel sports department and former Ranji player Avinash Kumar, Tata Steel sports department officer Hassan Imam and others.
