ATMs to start working in Jadugora today

Jadugora: The State Bank of India, Jadugora branch, has received a total deposit of Rs 2.87 crore from customers in the last two days.

The cash was deposited in denominations of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 following the governments decision to demonetise the Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes to rid the country of black money and corruption.

Sources said the ATMs in Jadugora will start working from tomorrow (Saturday) and consequently the people will get relief from the crisis of currency notes. In a bid to ensure smooth withdrawal of new notes from the ATMs, engineers were called from Ranchi to make required changes in the ATMs.

Keeping in view the huge crowd gathering at the bank for exchange of notes, four counters were opened by the bank authorities. One counter was reserved for women.
