Seraikela, Jan 21: The family of the deceased driver family who died inside a company’s premises in Adityapur Industrial Area on Wednesday will get a compensation of Rs 6 lakh and a permanent job in the same company.
The 60-year-old driver Tarkeshwar Singh had died in a mishap inside the Varun Beverages Company on Wednesday will also get financial grant from the district administration as part of the social security scheme.

Significantly, relatives of the deceased driver and local residents had staged a protest outside the company premises on Thursday demanding compensation and after a long drawn meeting with district administration represented by Gamharia circle officer and local thana officials and Adityapur Municipal Corporation deputy mayor Amit Singh, local leaders Arvind Singh, BJP leader Ganesh Mahali and others the company management agreed to give a sum of Rs 6 lakh as compensation and a permanent job for next of kin of the deceased driver.
It was only then that the relative agreed to send the body for post mortem and thereafter for the last rites.
Incidentally, the driver had come under his own truck and was critically injured and died during the course of treatment at Tata Main Hospital in Jamshedpur.
