Jamshedpur, Jan 21: Shopkeepers and traders in Jamshedpur will now have to mandatorily keep trade license and the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee is organising a two-day camp at its Sakchi office for issuing trade license.
Those traders who have not made trade license or those who have not renewed their existing trade license and for any correction in the trade license can also avail of two-day camp being organised jointly by Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) and Chamber of Commerce on January 22 and 23 at Kamani Centre in Bistupur.
According to JNAC special officer Krishna Kumar it is mandatory for all traders and shopkeepers to keep their municipal trade license otherwise if they are found not possessing it they would be liable for fine under Jharkhand Municipal Council Act 2011.
“The directive has been issued by East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Suraj Kumar for all shopkeepers and traders to paste their trade license in visible area of their shop. If they are not found with trade license then they would be fined a minimum of Rs 2000 and a maximum of Rs 25,000 along with prosecution.
