Adhikar Manch to wage agitation for ownership right

Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Saman Adhikar Manch has decided to wage an agitation to demand ownership right and amendment in the domicile policy of Jharkhand government from 15th November onwards. The outfit members took this decision at the core committee meeting held here on Tuesday. It was decided to start the agitation at Shahid Chowk, Sakchi. The purpose of the agitation is to make people residing in the various bustis of the city aware of their ownership right and to put pressure on the state government to make amendments in its domicile policy. The outfit members said the government should make 15th November 2000 as the qualifying date to ascertain the domicile status of the people of Jharkhand. Among those present at the meeting included Upendra Sharma, Mantu Singh, Sanjay Singh, Rajesh Jha, Uday Yadav, Tapan Kumar, Uma Singh Ishwar, Durga Prasad, Satyendra Sharma and Shubhankar.
