Jamshedpur: A scam of Rs 47 lakh in the issuance of Antyodaya and Below Poverty Line (BPL) card in has come to light in Tangrain panchayat of Potka block.
Members of Aam Admi Party met the deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum Dr Amitabh Kaushal on Tuesday and informed him about the scam. A memorandum was handed over to the DC inthis connection.
The outfit members have demanded action against the accused Ashok Kumar Khandait, owner of a public distribution system shop in the panchayat. The outfit members said the villagers have not been given ration since the year 2002 by the accused.
