Keeping in line with the digital age, an innovative learning tool-Tata ClassEdge was launched at Sidhu Kanhu Shiksha Niketan on Tuesday.
Tata Steel Rural Development Society (TSRDS) in collaboration with Tata Interactive Systems (TIS) has launched Tata ClassEdge, an interactive learning and teaching solution, at Sidhu Kanhu Shiksha Niketan, Dimna, for students from standard 7 to standard 10.
Tata ClassEdge is a complete technology enabled classroom solution that will revolutionize the teaching and learning of subjects like Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences and English.
It is a holistic classroom solution that not only makes the teaching process interactive by using visual means but also enables teachers to create question papers and analyse student performance.
The welcome address during the inauguration ceremony was delivered by Dilith Castleton, Honorary Joint Secretary of TSRDS.
Chief Guest on the occasion Debdoot Mohanty, Honorary Secretary of TSRDS, emphasized on the need to improve the quality of education and methods of teaching.
Sonaram Majhi, President and Founder member of Sidhu Kanhu Shiksha Niketan, appreciated Tata Steel�s support and initiatives in the area of education. Gulshan Pareek, Business Development Manager, TIS, gave an overview about Tata ClassEdge and announced that 10 teachers would be trained in the interactive teaching solution by his team.
The inauguration was attended by more than 600 people including S N Nandi, Head, Infrastructure and Education, Tata Steel, Sandhya Sao, Trustee, Sidhu Kanhu Shiksha Niketan, Principal, teachers, students and TSRDS staff.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks by K Bannerjee, Principal, Sidhu Kanhu Shiksha Niketan.
