Jamshedpur, Dec 13: JUSCO School South Park’s Senior School organised Sports Day on December 13, with over 1200 students participating in various sports and cultural events. The day began with a grand opening ceremony, graced by Chief Guest A.F. Madon, Administrator of JEM Foundation, who encouraged students to incorporate sports into their lives for a healthy lifestyle. Jiju Thomas, Senior Manager at JEM Foundation, was also present as the Guest of Honour.
The ceremony included the hoisting of the school flag and a synchronized march-past led by the school Presidents, Captains, and Vice Captains. Students from various grades presented impressive drills, including a colourful display by Standard V students promoting the message of “Unity is Strength,” a yogic performance by Standards VI and VII, and a nostalgic drill on indigenous games by Standard VIII.
The sports events included a variety of track and field races, relays, and fun races, highlighting the students’ athletic abilities. The day ended with a prize distribution ceremony where Aakash House emerged as the overall champions, securing the prestigious Sports Trophy. Agni House was awarded the Best in March-past trophy.
The Best Athlete awards were presented to: Std XI & XII: Simardeep Singh Bhatia and Babalpreet Kaur, Std IX & X: Rishab Pandey, Roly Gupta, and Akshara Singh, Std VII & VIII: Laksh Khamb and Swarna Kumari
The event concluded with the National Anthem, leaving the students and faculty inspired and motivated. The day was a testament to JSSP’s commitment to providing a well-rounded education that encourages both academic and extracurricular excellence.
