Jamshedpur SSP holds meeting with Tata Steel & Tata Motors fire depts in lead-up to Durga Puja 

Jamshedpur: With Durga puja round the corner, authorities are leaving no stone unturned to ensure the safety of the public during the festivities.

A crucial meeting was convened on Wednesday by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Kishore Kaushal bringing together key personnel from the fire departments of Tata Motors and Tata Steel.

The meeting aimed at devising a comprehensive strategy to handle any potential emergency situations that may arise in and around the puja pandals. Recognising the significance of collaborative efforts, the SSP emphasised the need for a synchronized approach to security arrangements.

The officials and personnel present in the meeting were provided with essential guidelines for selecting optimal locations for the deployment of fire vehicles during the puja. The strategic placement of fire brigade units is crucial for swift response in case of any untoward incidents.

Participants were briefed on updated emergency response protocols to ensure a quick and efficient reaction to any fire-related incidents. Clear communication channels and coordination among different departments were highlighted as critical components of an effective response plan.

A thorough risk assessment of the puja pandals and surrounding areas was conducted, taking into consideration factors such as crowd density, access routes for emergency vehicles, and potential fire hazards. This information will inform the deployment strategy during the festival.

The meeting underscored the importance of ongoing training programs for personnel involved in security and emergency response. Ensuring that officers are well-prepared and familiar with the latest equipment and techniques enhances the overall safety net during the festive season.
