Jamshedpur, Nov 20: The nomination forms of candidates for the six Vidhan Sabha seats in East Singhbhum district were scrutinized and the final list of Assembly polls contestants was published today. The nomination papers of 15 contestants have been revoked thereby leaving 96 contestants in the district�s poll fray for six Assembly seats. The nomination forms were minutely scrutinized at the offices of the Electoral Officers of all the Assembly constituencies of the district.
Candidates or their representatives were present at all the centres where scrutinizes were held. No discrepancies were found in the nomination applications of candidates for the Jugsalai constituency. The revoked nomination forms were from Baharagora (5), Jamshedpur East and West (4 each) while from Potka and Ghatshila (1 each).
The 10 candidates from the Jugsalai VS constituency have been cleared to contest the elections. The Electoral Officers explained the reasons of revocation of nomination papers to the candidates or their representatives at each constituency.
The final list of contestants from East Singhbhum district was published after scrutiny on Wednesday, November 20.
