Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand High Court has granted a major interim relief in the ongoing dispute over the Sakchi Gurudwara Sahib election by staying the previously issued controversial order. Justice Gautam Kumar Chaudhary passed the stay, bringing temporary closure to a matter that had stirred significant unrest among the Sikh community in Jamshedpur.

Sardar Nishan Singh, the elected head of Sakchi Gurudwara Sahib, hailed the court’s decision as a constitutional and moral victory for the entire Sangat. Upon receiving the court’s order on Thursday, Nishan Singh, along with his committee members, offered prayers at the Gurudwara and expressed gratitude before the Guru Granth Sahib. The premises were filled with an atmosphere of joy, devotion, and solidarity as committee members congratulated one another and celebrated the legal milestone with bhajan-kirtan and prasad distribution.

Calling it the triumph of truth and patience, Nishan Singh said, “This is not just my victory but that of the entire Sangat. The court has reaffirmed that truth prevails over lies, deceit, and conspiracy. The patience and faith of the Sangat cannot be underestimated.”

General Secretary Shamsher Singh Soni and senior member Khajan Singh echoed the sentiment, stating that this decision sent a strong message to those who used manipulation and politics within sacred institutions. They called the High Court’s decision a mirror to such elements.

Advocates Ayush Aditya, Avnish Prakhar, P.S. Dayal, and local counsel K.M. Singh represented Nishan Singh’s side in the case.

Later in the evening, Nishan Singh held a strategy meeting with his team to chart the way forward. Prominent attendees included Shamsher Singh Soni, Satnam Singh Sidhu, Avtar Singh Furti, Khajan Singh, Satnam Singh Ghuman, Satbir Singh Goldu, and several others.

Though the High Court order was interim and the final hearing was still awaited, the decision has uplifted the morale of the Sangat and strengthened the committee’s resolve to continue on the path of truth and service. (w/gsd)
