Jamshedpur, Jan. 10: A 28-year-old man died after being hit by a trailer near Balle Complex at Bhuiyadih under Sitaramdera Police Station on Sunday evening.
Lakhi Rai, resident of Kalyani Nagar in Bhuiyadih was walking when the trailer hit him from behind.
Soon after the incident locals of the area caught hold of the driver and the trailer and blocked the roads for an hour demanding adequate compensation for the victim�s family.
After getting the information police reached the spot and assured Rai�s family of compensation. Then only the family members and locals of the area moved away.
Police took the driver and trailer under its possession and sent the body for postmortem to MGM.
