Jamshedpur, July 24: Tension erupted at MGM Hospital in Jamshedpur following the death of an 8-year-old girl, with family members accusing the medical staff of negligence. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, leading to a commotion at the hospital premises.
The deceased, identified as Asifa Parveen from the Kapali police station area, was admitted to the hospital’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at 9 AM on Wednesday. According to her father, Asifa was brought in with complaints of high fever and vomiting.
Despite ongoing treatment, Asifa’s condition deteriorated, and she passed away in the afternoon. The news of her death sparked immediate outrage among family members, who alleged that medical negligence was responsible for the tragic outcome.
Hospital authorities, however, have refuted these claims. Doctors at MGM Hospital stated that all necessary care was provided and no negligence occurred during Asifa’s treatment. They maintained that the girl’s condition was critical upon admission, which ultimately led to her demise.
The grieving family has demanded action against the doctors involved in Asifa’s treatment. They have called upon the hospital management to investigate the matter thoroughly and hold responsible parties accountable if any lapses in care are found.
