Jamshedpur, July 27: Heavy rain accompained with thunderstorms wreaked havoc in Steel city on Sunday night as eight-month-old girl child was killed after a tree fell on her late night in Burmamaines area. Deceased’s mother and three year old boy were serously injured.
Soon the injured were rushed to Tata Main Hospital. According to reports, Tiya Devi was sitting with her 8 month old child in the veranda of their house situated at Kanchan Nagar under Burmamines Police Station Area. Suddenly rain accompanied with strong winds uprooted a three in front of the house.
Till the time they could understand anything, mother, daughter and son fell prey to the tree. The locals and their neighbors rushed the trio to TMH were doctors declared the 8 month brought dead.
According to the current situation, Mother and three year old boy are in critical situation at TMH.
On Monday night several trees and electric poles were uprooted in the strong wind that lasted for around half hour with incessant rain continued since last night.
