Seraikela, July 27: Rain lashed Jamshedpur and adjoining Seraikela-Kharsawan district on Sunday night and Monday morning.
Several areas of the district were submerged in water while many trees were also uprooted. Work at several government offices were disrupted due to clogged water after heavy rain.
Seraikela Court was flooded with 5 feet water which made life difficult for the policemen and also the prisoners who had come for hearing.
Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) office of the district was also seen waterlogged were the government officials along with district officers faced harrowing time entering or coming out of the office on Monday.
Commuters faced difficulty as upto 5 feet water was seen on Seraikela-Rajnagar main road were two-wheelers were the worst sufferers.
Seraikela which is suffering from lack of development has several cracked and potholed roads as waterlogged paths make it difficult for the commuters to drive.
There was no report of any causality but the several of the residents suffered injuries. Trees were uprooted in many parts of the district and some fell on the main roads causing huge traffic jams.
