8 deaths, 141 positives, 146 recover from coronavirus in Jamshedpur

Ranchi/Jamshedpur, Aug 25: Coronavirus cases crossed 32,000 mark in Jharkhand with 1056 new positive cases on Tuesday, August 25. While the tally has crossed 5500 mark in Jamshedpur with 141 fresh corona cases reported till the filing of this report late on Tuesday evening.  

12 patients died of Coronavirus while 1056 new cases were reported in Jharkhand on Tuesday. Positive cases have climbed to 32174 while 347 people have lost their life due to the virus in the state including 12 on Tuesday.

Jamshedpur continues to top the casualty list with 8 patients losing their life on Tuesday. One death each has been reported from West Singhbhum, Ranchi, Koderma and Bokaro.

725 people have recovered and were discharged from various COVID hospital�s across the state on Tuesday. 21750 people have recovered in Jharkhand till date while 1056 active cases are still present in Jharkhand.

In Jamshedpur the COVID-19 tally is nearing 5600 mark.     

141 new cases were reported on Tuesday, August 25 taking the East Singhbhum tally to 5596. 146 people recovered of the virus on Tuesday in Jamshedpur.

The district administration spokesperson informed that 141 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Tuesday. All the positives have been admitted to COVID-19 wards. Three person from Bistupur, two from Baridih, one each from Jugsalai, Mango and Sidhgora succumbed to the virus on Tuesday. 

More than 180 people have died of coronavirus in Jamshedpur till the filing of this report on late Tuesday  evening including 8 deaths reported on August 25.

The first case of the pandemic was reported from Hindpiri on March 31, when a 22-year-old Malaysian woman, who had been to Delhi�s Tablighi Jamaat congregation, tested positive. She has since been discharged after being recorded from the dreaded disease.

The Jharkhand government has ordered an extension of lockdown related restrictions in the state outside containment zones, up to August 31, due to COVID-19 cases.

Meanwhile, Jharkhand government issued measures for the implementation of interstate quarantine protocol, to all Additional Chief Secretary, DGP, Principal Secretary, IG and Deputy IG.

The order said that �All economic activities permitted prior to this order shall remain permitted.�
