600 students screened in mega anaemia drive at Narbheram Hansraj English School

Jamshedpur, Mar 23: A Mega Anaemia Screening Project was launched at Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West on Saturday. The initiative aims to detect and address anaemia among underprivileged students, promoting early diagnosis and better health awareness.

The event commenced with ceremonial lamp lighting, marking the beginning of the vital health initiative. Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum, Ananya Mittal, attended as the Chief Guest, praising the joint efforts of NHES and Rotary Club in improving student health.

Dr. Amit Mukherjee, President of Rotary Club of Jamshedpur, West, played a key role in organizing and supervising the event, ensuring its success. Special Guest was Nakul Kamani, President of NHES.

Around 600 students underwent screening, and those diagnosed with anaemia were provided necessary medication. The initiative emphasized the importance of early detection and preventive measures to combat anaemia.

The program was conducted under the leadership of NHES Principal, Paromita Roy Choudhury, and Chief of Administration, Tandrima Banerjee, with strong support from the Rotary Club dignitaries and NHES managing committee.

The event received high appreciation from attendees, reinforcing the importance of community-driven healthcare programs in schools.
