381 new cases reported in Jharkhand �
Jamshedpur, Aug 14: Fifteen people died of coronavirus in Jharkhand on Sunday, August 16 taking the toll to 244 in the state. Six deaths have been reported in Jamshedpur, one death each were reported in Dhanbad, Gumla, Koderma, Palamu, three person succumbed to the virus in Ranchi while two deaths have been reported in West Singhbhum.
Jamshedpur recorded 6 deaths including four men and two women on Sunday till the filing of this report.
55-year-old woman from Mango who was admitted in TMH on July 21 died on Sunday.
Another 59-year-old woman from Domuhani, Nirmal Nagar also died in TMH during treatment. She was admitted in TMH on July 16.
78-year-old Kitadih resident also died during treatment on August 16. He was admitted with high fever and breathing difficulty. He succumbed to the virus on Sunday.
53-year-old man from Sonari, Gopi Krishna Apartment also died during treatment. He was admitted in TMH on August 14. He died on Sunday afternoon. Similarly two other male patients, one 59 and another 66, also died due to Covid-related complications.
COVID-19 tally in Jharkhand has crossed 23,000 mark on Sunday, August 16 with 381 new cases reported till the filing of this report.
381 fresh cases were reported in the state on Saturday, taking the state tally to 23059, till the filing of this report.
522 people have recovered and were discharged from various COVID hospital�s across the state on Sunday. In Jamshedpur the COVID-19 tally is nearing 4000 mark.
78 new cases were reported on Sunday, August 16 taking the East Singhbhum tally to 3759.
The district administration spokesperson informed that 78 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Sunday. All the positives have been admitted to COVID-19 wards.
