Jamshedpur, Oct 15: No COVID-19 deaths were recorded in Jamshedpur on Friday, October 16. This is the sixth time in 102 days that not a single person succumbed to the virus. Earlier on October 8, October 10, October 13 and 14 no corona deaths were reported in Jamshedpur.
57 corona positive cases were reported in Jamshedpur on Friday, October 16 taking the total tally to 15181.
Positive tally has climbed to 15181 while the death toll remains at 338 with no death on Friday. 82 people recovered of the virus taking the total recovery to 13630 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 1213.
The district administration spokesperson informed that 57 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Friday. East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 91048 test per million in the district. The mortality rate in East Singhbhum district is 2.2 % while recovery rate has climbed to 90%.
In Jharkhand 4 people died of the virus while 473 were reported positive on Friday. Ranchi reported maximum 130 positive cases. Garhwa, Dhanbad, Doghar and Bokaro reported one death each.
The death toll has reached 818 while positive tally has reached 95425 of which 88058 people have recovered including 818 on Friday. The active cases in the state are 6543. Jharkhand recovery rate is 92.27 while the mortality rate is 0.86 %.
